- '06 Ford Explorer XLS 4.0
Hey, Im new here, otherwise I would not be posting in the New Members Forum.
:
My name is Brandon. I am 23 years old, I drive a 2006 Ford Explorer XLS. 4.0 V-6, 4WD, auto, etc etc. Pretty basic indeed, but it serves me better than my old ride, which was a 1996 Chevy S-10 2.2 2WD.
A little bit of history here...
I had that S-10 truck since about 2000, it was bought relatively new in 1997 by my mom and it only had about 11k on the clock at that time. She then passed it down to me so I could have a set of wheels to get around in, get to school and whatnot. It was mine and I drove it until back in Feb. '09. The 4L60E tranny was ready to crap out. Fixing it would be pointless, since it was so old and had been through a couple wrecks(none of which were my fault), it was not worth fixing.
So I decided it was time to trade it in. Little did I know, when the good folks at the dealership I was working with gave me the CarFax on it, I found out the odometer had been rolled back.
I was pissed, and if I knew where the salesman resided who sold it to my mother at the time, I probably would have kicked him in the testicles.
A guy at the dealership calls up his buddy, pulls some strings and convinces him to come look at it to possibly buy it. The guy bought it, gave me $1000 for it, and thus came my new Explorer.
So, if you are still awake after that spiel, tell me a little about yourselves.
