Hello Im new to this but looking for help I guess I should say. I am a power junkie and I love to have projects. 99~2000 Rangers are the easiest years to swap because PATS and the speed sensor operate the same way as the Ex and use the same hardware. Best Ex engine into those years is 99~2001.

It is possible to stay with a manual trans but you would have to work at it harder than a swap using the Explorer's 4R70W automatic.
