Ranger 1991 2.3l (DIS)
I have a 91 Ranger 2.3L with a manual trans that stopped running while I was driveing. It turns over but will not start. I have checked the fuel pump and it is working. I have checked for spark and I am only getting it on the exhaust side. I changed out the coil pack on the intake side but still no spark. I ran a code scan (koeo) that came back with a system pass, and cont. memory codes of 31, 41, 63. Dose any one have any suggestions for me?

91 2.3L has two coil packs? Is it the 8 plug engine?

If you have spark on one side of the coil pack I would test the wiring from the computer to the coil pack(s)
Look at the plastic connectors and wires/pins. Look at the loom leading to the coils

How are you testing for spark? test light?

Yes, it is an 8 plugg engine with 2 coil packes. I'm tesing for spark with a screwdriver inserted into a plugwire. I get spark on the exhast side but not the intake side. I did a code scanner test and it came back as system pass, but it gave me some continuos memory codes. Two of them were for emissions sensors and one was for the tps sensor. I am unfortunatly now at a stand still in my repairs. I am going to make my way through the wireing harnesses to see if I can find the problem. Thank tou for your reply.
