Hello everyone and thanks for allowing me to join.

I purchased my 1994 Ranger XLT 4WD Super Cab in May 2000 with 73,000 miles; it currently has 187,000 miles and still going strong.

This forum is a wealth of information and I will be tapping into it immediately. The transfer case motor stopped working this week right in the middle of a blizzard. Guess what I am doing for the rest of the day? That's right; fixing the transfer case motor. :D

Thanks for the great posts on troubleshooting and fixing the 4WD system.

...Welcome here...:D

...That darn bushing likes to fail when it is the coldest out...:(

The motor is now apart and the bushing (cushion) was found in little pieces with a small piece stuck to the hard-stop. Now what???? I guess I will be searching to see if this part is available.:)

Blownranger

I bought a 1988 ranger in 2000 that is know mini tube caged and is going to have a blown 393 stroker .That has a 9 inch and a set of 325/50/15 under it.Thanks for allowing me join.

Thanks for the link.

I used a 5/16" fuel line hose for the new bushing/cushion and now 4WD is working correctly. Woo Hoo; bring on the snow!

One of our moderators is originally from LaCrosse. He's going to be moving back there soon. Why he would leave AZ weather for Wisco weather I have NO idea;)
