1999 Ford Ranger XLT
Hello I'm currently living in South New Jersey. I just bought my first small pickup and chose a 99 Ford Ranger XLT Flair-side. I had been looking at this form for awhile but never posted because I hadn't purchased the truck yet. I've looked up several things I can do to it to get an idea where I want to take this truck. One thing I do need to do right away is replace the bracket that goes behind the headlight on the passenger side because its shattered so the headlight and turn signals on that side are kinda only being held in place by the wiring harnesses and bumper. The person who owned it before me bought it in 07 and only drove it 3000 miles (he was a trucker and almost never home) and ended up selling it because he never ended up using it and he already had a small car to get around when he was home.

Welcome to the site

my plan is to take it out offroading but it doesn't have 4x4. I do plan on lifting it and upgrading the suspension in general. not sure how much effort and parts are needed to convert it to 4wd or if I should look for another ranger to play with and leave this as a daily driver as this is the only car at the moment between me and my wife so any mods will be mild and quick at the moment until she gets her own (shes looking at a cj jeep right now) we recently started geocaching and have always had an interest in off road sports. lol almost wondered if I get a badass wench if I can get away with 2wd off road :P if any of this doesn't make sense I'm sorry I didn't get much sleep last night and might be at that point where I'm just rambling :P
