I just recently inherited a 1994 explorer with 56000 miles on it from my father in law.I have gone over the car from front to rear and have had to change many parts including the trans (yikes).any way this truck has been in the family from day one and never was abused.The only thing that has never worked on this truck scince i have become part of the family is the cruise control any hints?:exp:

Transmissions on these first gens are a "weak point". For the cruise control I recommend you go to the 91-94 forum section and ask there. They should be able to help you out!

belive it or not after driving for 2000 miles i had to replace trans

Now that is horrible. I'd be upset if that happened to me.
Any customization planned for it?

well

i did the tranny,the bushings and put air shocks in it.as well as putting locking hubs on so now the 4 wheel drive really works well

i also had to replace the speakers from dry rot

im about ready to sell it

just want to get cruise to work.for a car that cost me a doller i have spent over 2800 and i did all the work myself except the trany

but the cruise control didnt work before i replaced it
