Hello to all, new to the site and love it!
Looking for info on the above items. Too cold out to do it anytime before spring, so I have a while to research this. Wanting to install Hellwig spring helpers part 552 for 3" leaf and warrior 153 shackles in rear of my 99 Sport. Then do TT and realign front end. This is mainly for looks and more ground clearance for the Chicago city streets (potholes). Don't do any off roading except putting boat in lake.

I've googled the parts, but anyone had really good reviews from internet retailers? Or any to stay away from?

Also anything to be concerned about after doing this? Just a driveway wrench turner here, so I don't want to get in over my head. It all seems simple enough with the right tools.

Thanks for all your input.

Are you wanting the helper spring because of towing a boat? If for lift purpose the helper spring won't work you will need add-a-leafs.

you can get them from summitracing or desert rat. They are both reputable sites. The shackles will give you some lift but the helper spring will only help when pulling the boat. I have done both of these( not the helwig but a helper spring from autozone) and they were both very easy. I am south of chicago about 35 min. if you have any questions.

Thanks guys. Yes the helpers are for the boat and a utility trailer I have to tow a couple golf carts. I read on another post a guy put helpers on and got 1/2 to 3/4 inch rise out of the rear enr. maybe that just leveled it back to stock from a sagging spring pack.

DMC, Do your 31's fit in your wheel wells ok with just a TT/shackle lift?

Just put on 32x11.5 15's:D on this week and just barely rubbed the front bumper when i pull out of the driveway. They are on stock "teardrop" wheels

Nice choice. I too have the teardrop wheels but think I will opt for 31/10.5/15 when extra $$ allows. Just put 235/75/15's Dakota AT's on about 2 yrs ago. Will do the TT/shackle lift in spring and see how that leaves me. Truck has 138,000 on it now and planning on joining the 200k club!
