I was browsing Helm's online bookstore (http://www.helminc.com), and I found a "1991 Ranger/Explorer Do-It-Yourself" manual for $20. They say it's over 3000 pages. Anyone have experience with these? I've seem several posts here discussing manuals, and people have mentioned the shop manuals, which Helm lists for $160. Is the DIY manual just a watered-down version of the shop manual? I think I'm gonna go ahead and order one (heck, for $20, how could I afford not to?)

I bought one of those for my 86 Bronco2.
unless it's different for the newer version, 3000 pages is a little off
mine's not even 200 pages.
it seems more like a toned-down version of a Haynes/Chilton's manual (who get their info from a Ford service manual)
it's not too bad for $20, because it's more year-specific than some of the Chilton's and Haynes

The last 3 posts talk about CD manual for the early Explorers on Ebay.

I thought it sounded too good to be true. Maybe after I get it I'll call 'em and whine that I only got 1/10 of the manual. Or maybe I can sue them for false advertising? :D
