Hello all. From Rockwell Nc. And my Explorer was giving to me for doing some work around the in-laws house. Still don't know if it was a blessing or curse. It has 189,000 miles on it but it still runs like a bat out of hell. Well that was till the other day. Been looking for two days to find out what the name of the housing is that the water pump mounts to is. The water pump mount to this and in return it mounts to the engine block
Found a small hole in it and has a water leak.about this size > O < Been thinking about useing J-B weld on it . To much water come out of the hole to drive it. So I need to fix it. Dont like walking
Tryed calling AutoZone but no help as always. If anyone could please tell me what it is I Thank You, Have looked over this site for a day now but couldn't find it. But I did learn that if I need to know anything about My explorer that this is the site to find it. One Hell of a Site. Keep up the good work and thank you for any help you give me......

That is a weep hole. means your water pump is bad, get a new one jb weld will not help.

hi and welcome to the forum!

It's a blessing. You have a 1993 Explorer with average miles for the year, and with this great website to help you out! What more could you ask for? I've saved AT LEAST 1000 dollars. That's only counting my brakes and ball joints I've been able to do myself because of this site.

Pictures always help, so the faster you get that up, the quicker we can help you out with what to do.

hello and welcome

Water pump or lower intake manifold gasket.

Good luck!

I'm going with the water pump.
