Help 97 explorer wont run

Please help lol iam at a lost i have a 97 explorer eddie bauer addition and it quit running totally i did plugs and wires went to go to my friends house turned on a dirt rd and it died any advice at all would greatly help thank u for your assistance

After my recent experience with my Sport Trac and diagnostic issues, I would like to recommend you start with the fuel pump check-you need a fuel test pressure kit to do this unfortunately or Like me you can listen at the tank filler port while some one turns on the ign(you should hear the pump running) but with mine the pump ran but didnt pump, also would check/replace your fuel filter as may be clogged up, for home checking with out the pressure guage I actually disconected the fuel line at the filter and placed a garden hose over the fitting and turned on the ign to check for flow (none).
I assume you hace checked for spark prior to doing the fuel system checks?

How hard did you hit that dirt road? Take a look at your fuel pump inertia switch.
