It's odd it got worst taking the front driveshaft out? Are the tires balanced within spec?

I haven't had a chance to balance the tires yet but I really don't think that's it I starts almost from idle as soon as your rolling over 5mph its vibrating and gets real bad then evens off about 50 unless you speed up or slow down then its there again

Bent rim? Out of round tire? Tie rods loose? Does the steering wheel "buzz" in your hands, or is it moving back and forth?

The front diff may have been dampening the vibration; taking out the shaft allows whatever the problem is to occur in full force.

well it isn't like I bent wheel vibration its a up and down the mirrors shake so bad you cant see the dash vibrates and makes noise and everything in the front seems tight that's why its not making sense I had another shop check it out to see if I was missing something stupid and all they could tell me is your shocks look bad

Rotate the tires front to back, road test it. It the problem doesnt' change, we've ruled out the wheels.

It could very well be your shocks. What happens when you roll over a speed bump?

I have several ideas

1- The rear u joints might have been improperly installed.

2- The wheels could be out of balance. On these AWD v8 Explorers, you need all 4 tires to match in both brand and tire size.I cannot strees this one enough. Uneven wear tire diameter will cause issues.

3- Check for a bent rear axle shaft. Raise rear of truck, and as long as the front drive shaft is still removed you should be able to run the truck in low gear with rear tires raised. Note if you see any tire wobble.

Edit.
Thread moved to stock 2nd gen sub forum for more responses.

I haven't seen a speed bump in years lmao but honestly besides the vibration it drives great shocks look bad but the seem to shock fine It doesn't go down the road all bouncy or anything and maybe I will switch the tires and balance them before I leave work today it does have all 4 matching tires with about the same tread I have had cars with bent axles and bad tires so I know what that feels like and this doesn't seem like that but ive been wrong before the thing that throws me off is its almost instant I almost feel like its the converter shuttering constantly it has 199000 miles on it so do these have that kind of trans issues its clean enough that I would get it rebuilt if that was it

hey and thanks so much for all the extra input

Wait a minute. Does it feel/sound like you're running over rumble strips?

yes alittle bit and the entire truck shakes I mean its so bad my coke was flat by time I got to work 10 mins away

The previous owner probably screwed up the driveshaft balance by putting it back together in a different orientation... or possibly damaged/dented/bent something when beating the joints out and back in. Inspect the driveshaft closely, it may need to be balanced.

As the others mentioned, there are other things it can be too, so you just have to eliminate possibilities and narrow it down till you find it.

Ford has had the infamous torque converter shudder in
previous years, particularly in V-8s. It's certainly a possibility. Try adding a bottle of LubeGard Red to the
ATF and see if that affects the shudder.

There is nothing you can "unbalance" when you change the u-joints in the AWD's drive shafts. That's just repeating a myth...

that's what ive thought I have heard people say that forever and I could only think wow that sounds dumb

But you sure can damage one if you try to force em in.

And if the yoke is rotated 180 degrees off when the new joint is placed, then the balance is effected also.

To the OP
If you notice the vibration while increasing acceleration around 2000-2200 rpm's, you might have a fouling-cracked spark plug causing a misfire. Even if they are relatively new you might remove and check them. they should all be the same color-

Msfire codes will not be logged from a misfiring spark plug. This may be your issue

definitely not a miss fire it runs perfect its defiantly a rotational vibration it shakes the wheel up and down I had a built fox body that used to spread the yokes open and I would have to get a new one monthly and this feels a lot like that

she gone

ive basically given up its on craigslist for sale hahaah I knew there was a reason I stopped driving fords years ago

Yoke is not that important - the shaft is not even balanced with the yoke on.
But yes, dropping the tube on cement might throw it out of "round" and balance. BUT - it would make more vibrations at certain rpm's (resonance).
