Help: Brake Pedal Noise

I have a '98 XLT Ex and whenever I push the brake pedal it makes a squeaking sort of almost croaking noise (lol kinda like a frog). The brakes are fine and it really is just annoying. If anyone has experienced this before or knows how to fix it...My thought was maybe it needed some lube? silicone or WD-40? But where would i put this? Thanks...

You need high temp grease, and you need to apply it to the back of the shoes on rotors and to the contact points on drum brakes, I will try to get some pictures so you get the idea.

Is the noise from the brakes or just the pedal??

If it's the pedal, WD40 is a cleaner (solvent) not a lubricant, and will stop the squeak for a while but then it will come back. A spray lubricant or 3-in-1 type oil is better. If you stand on your head under there and look up it's likely the shaft that the pedal swivels on, follow the pedal up to the top next to the firewall.

In some cases a brake light switch behind the pedal will squeak, that can be lubricated too but with something safe for plastic and non-conductive.

no light oil will stand the heat of brakes, it will just burn, you need a high temp resistant lub, auto part stores sells high temp grease designed for brakes.
