help bumper trim ? removal

Hey guys I have a problem . I would like to remove the plastic trim that is right under my gas tank on my 96 xlt . Anybody have any idea how to do this? I used search but came up empty handed :>(

If it's right under your gas tank you sure it isn't a metal skid plate? If it is, it is held up by 4 bolts.

I know what your talkin about but its the plastic peice above the skid plate , on mine its a funny color like a tanish color. Basically, the plastic trim that runs around the entire truck and its the same color. i spilled gas on mine and its discolored and want to paint it.

screws and tabs are all there should be.

Thanx , Ill prolly experiment later. LOL hey u have a GTI , thats funny my best friend has one its a 1.8t its pretty damn quick hes pushen about 20 psi . We always fight about whose better ford or VW.

i dont know about apples and oranges... those new v8 touregs could probably do pretty well offroad when compared to a new explorer....
