My Explorer now 139,187 milles, could you give me support for high quality oils to use for my Explorer.

Differentials... pull the covers

Transmission, take the pan off and change the filter



I like amsoil oil, it is relatively low cost as far as synthetics go and very high quality.

When doing the differentials you should open the fill plug first.

There have been cases where the fill plug was hard to remove. If you pull the cover off and you can't get the fill plug out you won't be able to get the new fluid back in.

On the front differential, there is no removable cover. The only way to change the oil is with a siphon pump through the fill hole.

Sorry, for the front I meant separate the back half of the pumpkin from the front.... siphoning works too, especially if you have a vacuum pump

for rear and front differencial. And automatic transmission
