I went through a puddle about 5 inches deep. I went through kind of fast, maybe at about 15-25 mph. The Waves went 10-12 feet in the air. The truck decided to stall on me I had no powersteering and managed to get into a near by parking lot. Now when I start it, it doesnt feel right. It turns over and starts but feels like its missing the rpms jump up and down, Then the check engine light comes on, I dont know what happens after that, weither or not it stalls or what because I get nervous and shut it off. What the hell is wrong with this thing. Other cars where going through this same puddle and they had no problem.

By the way its stuck in the parking lot still and I need it for school tomorrow.

It's either hydrolocked or you drenched a sensor.

Please search for the hydrolocked fixing procedure, and otherwise inspect any wiring and sensors you can get to.

It pouring out right now, and my dad is at a christmas party with my mom. I dont think I hydrolocked it because there was enough water.

Well you know how they say a baby can drown in less than an inch of water? If the water went up your intake perfectly it could have still messed up the engine.

But I doubt that, I'm guessing you knocked something loose and/or drenched some electronics.

My guess would be that you soaked some of the electronics. Get ya some WD-40 and spray it around the coil packs and wires. YOu may want to go as far as pulling the wires off and spray some inside the boots too, just make sure you do these one at a time so you don't mix any wires up. Hope this helps ya out

gota be carefull around the water..there have been what 2? hydrolocked ex's in as many months

i hope u get it fixed asap =)

Update; last night after posting my brother took me back to my truck. It still wouldnt run right I got about 15 feet down the street but it kept stalling. I called my dad and he came with his service truck, he's a deisel machanic who owns his own busness so he also does road service. Well anyone he and my mom were at a christmas party so for about 45 minutes I was in panic cause I could get a hold of him. So he can down, and just had me keep the rpms up a little while he sprayed the wires with wd-40. Ran fine after that, It just smoked a lot. Like the in the morning cold smoke. It started fine this morning. But when I started down the road, I came to at stop sign and the rpms started surging, and then it stalled. I started and sat for a few minutes while I kept the ideal around 1500. Than it ran fine all the way to school. It started right up when I left school.

Yup electrical stuff was wet with water.. Using WD-40 works great to remove water out. I do it all the time when my snowblower gets flooded and won't restart.
