Sounds like there must be some other break in the fuel pump circuit. Have you checked the fuse? If it isn't that, you may be at the tedious part where you get a wiring diagram and a voltmeter and trace the circuit until you find the break.

I'm afraid so. Fuel pump circuit is a pretty straightforward DC circuit. If you know the relay is closing, but the fuel pump isn't getting power, then there must be a break somewhere else in the circuit.

Just to be thorough, can I ask how you have verified that the relay is closing?

Check to see if you are getting power at the inertia switch. If you are, then the problem is between the inertia switch and the pump which I believe is all wiring (no relays/fuses). If you're not getting power at the inertia switch, the problem is between the ignition switch and the inertia switch. Could be the PCM or fuel pump relay.

i kinda hardwired it for now
but i dont know what or where the inertia switch is
ne photos?

What exactly did you hardwire, and is it running now?

The inertia swithch is under the glove box bolted to the firewall. It should be clearly marked. It is a safty switch that turns off the fuel pump if the vehicle experiences so many G-forces, i.e. a crash or rollover. I would check the fuse and relay first as that is normally the bad spot in the system. Check for lots of corrosion in the relay box.

so you hardwired it and it's running now? i'd like to know what you had to fix if you found the problem.

i took and ran a wire with a fuse from a spare wire i have comming off of my ignition power wire going to my electric fan and ran it to the power wire of the fuel pump. so whenever the car is on and the fan is on the fuel pump is on. the regulator is dealing with the rest...for now
til i get the time to fix it

As already stated, check the FP relay and the inertia switch. Makes sure the switch isn't tripped and the plug at the bottom is on tight.

alright will do
but ive based my problem around my power steering pump throwing up all over my fender full of wires. a freind of mine had that happen to them b4
