Help lifting an 01 sport
I think there is some trails that stockers can run. I took the mount there when i was stock and it did really good. I went over an obstacle that jeep on 33's couldnt do...and i was on the stock 29" tires. Go the badlands chat thread and ask if there is a stocker group. It would be great if you could make it. We could install your shackles and do a torsion twist while we are in the staging area.
I was lowered on 18s, Now I have shackles and TT. I just need to get by BL, AAL and shocks put on. Not to mention I would have to get some tires before then. Doubt my 18s with Falken SZTs would be going anywhere.

whats the backspacing and offset of your rims? If you can, send me a pic of your truck currently with the torsion twist and shackles. email is mahdeyshaheen@yahoo.com

yeah, they are almost the same size as a 265/75/16. There is actually a guy on the board that has 33x11.5x18 Terra Grapplers, but I dont remember his name.

You can look at the spec sheet for the wheels, or it is probably stamped on the back of the wheel. You can measure backspacing, there is a write-up on how to do it.

Buy em Buy em. You'll have the desired tire you want with it. :D

I don't know if that will fill up the wheel well as good as I would like, I would like to get close to 33s on the 18s if possible. I would also need to sell the 255/55/18 to get some cash out of them to be able to buy new tires.

now your tt..is it the full 2 inches? Did you drive around a bit to let them settle?

Yeah its been 2 days.

you know i think you may be able to fit those wth out your body lift. Im not sure. Do you think you could get a buddy and do the body lift yourselves?

Yeah, probably. Just not to sure on fabbing up the front bumper brackets or the steering shaft. Most people that did it on a 01 sport only put the plastic fascia back on, but I have the foglamps and would like to keep the metal bumper on too.

-Rich

the steering shaft you dont fab up. You un bolt the shaft and then slip in an extension then bolt everything back up.

C'mon...im sure you could go with out foglamps for a couple of days.....its the forum run man...20+ rigs showin up. If you get stuck or anything we can pull you out. Also theres spotters etc.

Tires though, wouldn't be able to afford those for awhile. That's if I could get the time off work.
