Help looking for D/s seat cushion and cloth cover, bottom. I see others have posted on a fix for the foam. I like to get the OE stuff.

Best bet for OEM is to find a good passenger seat and swap the bottom foam and upholstery to the driver's side. On 1st Gen Explorers and Aerostars the seat frames under the foam and upholstery are exactly the same side to side. The hardware is just installed on opposite sides of the frame, but the holes in the seat frame are all there. I assume the same is true with the '95 to '01s and the Sport Tracs. You'll have to make holes in the fabric for the hardware to go through if you swap fabric from side to side, but that's no big deal.

Your biggest problem will be finding a match to what you have. The foam can come from an Explorer, but I think you'll need fabric from a Sport or Sport Trac.

I'm guessing this is to fix the driver side seat cushion from turning into a slide back to an actual bucket. I never thought of looking for new cushions, I'll have to look for this next time. How hard or even possible to swap foam but keep original fabric.

Never mind, don't think Id want to try swapping foam, mines not that bad

Well, Found some donor seats. 1 with good foam pad. 1 with ok.. not a 100% match seat cover. But darn better then what I've got going on now. Next weekend. Tackle this and pictures to follow.

Not my truck, but the seat bottom is from a 2nd gen Explorer. That's the same fabric as the seats I swapped into both my Sport Tracs. I think 1 donor was a '97 and the other was a 2000.

my donor is a 98 Explorer& a 2001 Sport. 98 was the cloth or it could be backwards. I forget now. As for pictures of the process ,that was screwed up courtesy of the rain. Weatherman said it was to be a nice sunny day. Ah, yeah right.

I also added padding underneath and on the side. Underneath between the spring in the actual cushion. And on the side where the notorious ripped through.
