I think that you should call Ford back...better yet, call another ford dealership, and tell them what year ex you have. They should be able to do a key for you. The dealership here actually made me a new ignition key for my '94!

what about door locks?

Thanks guys/girls
i got the new set. went to the wreacker and got a new set
i removed the hole steering calum and the door cylinders. they want 70$bucks for a ignition cylinder.
well the wreaker was cheaper. it was free. good to know the right people

OK, now how are you going to remove the ignition switch from the column without a key? I thought the key had to be in it to unlock the cylinder from the column?

hammer and a flathead screwdriver. stick the driver in the hole, use the big hammer and smash it in the hole, the silver thumb peice will fall off, when that happends stick the screwdriver back in there and hit it again. be carful not to crack the cylnder hole. with a pair of neddle nose pliers pull out the peices. ones the tumbles are gone stick a punch up inside the hole underneth the calum push in the pin. turn whats left of the cylinder the neddle nose and out it should come. remember to be carefull not to crack the calum casing. have fun
