Okay....

Down here at school the roads are pretty bad in some spots, but even the smallest bump results in a clunk from somewhere in the wheel wells (I think). I'm not sure if it's the struts or not, but I'm thinking that could be it. Any ideas?

I have something clunking on mine too. There is this fairly deep gutter I have to got through in the parking lot at school and like I turn right at the same time. But I thought it was the liftgate rattling around back there. Which it maybe but I hear/feel the clunk everyday.

If the noise is in the drivers side rear, check the jack which is stored behind the access panel in the drivers side rear cargo area. On my truck, the jack was always loosening up and rattling over every bump.

I solved this problem by filling the space between the top of the jack and the holder with a large sponge which is now wedged between them.

My 1991 Explorer had a clunk in the front end whenever I went over a bump and it was the lower ball joint gone. Replaced them and i haven't had a sound since.
