Well here I sit again with another problem, so here it goes, any info would be much appreciated. I have replaced the Auto Hubs on my 1994 Ford Explorer XLT to manuals about a year ago. The truck has been sitting up for about three weeks. I went out today to run the four wheel drive. I locked in the hubs, sat down in the drivers seat, pushed the 4X4 button on the dash and walahh, nothing happened. I tried to engage it while moving, in park, nuetral, etc. and nothing. No Indicator lights light up on the dash. I then unlocked the hubs, tried to engage the four wheel drive, without the hubs engaged and looked for front drive shaft turn and nothing. Locked in the HUbs and got front drive shaft roatation so I know that the Hubs are working. I checked all my fuses, and all are good. Could it be a bad switch in the dash, or a bad relay or something else on the transfer case. I looked at the transfer case and there are wires running all around it. I know nothing about electrical problems, so any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance guys for any help........

it's quite common for the transfer case shift motor to stick from non use. Tap it a few times with a rubber mallet.

If that doesn't work, use the search function of the forum and look for 'shift motor'. There are threads here that detail how to rebuild it if you don't want to replace it.
