HELP me with my 4WD, for a 93 Eddie

this is my baby,a 1993 Eddie Bauer, and my small prob. frist i picked her up two days ago. i can not Fig. out how to put her in 4WD. She has locking hubs and a button the says 4wd. but i can not get the 4X4 light on the button or the dash to light up. PS i pay $4,000 with 70,000 miles

Turn off your radio so that there is no sound. Put the truck in drive with your foot on the brake and push the 4x4 button on the dash. Listen for a clicking sound in the rear of the vehicle. If you hear a click and no lights come on on the dash or the instrument panel saying you are in 4x4, then your transfer case actuator motor has bit the bullet...
