Here is my situation in a nutshell:
My 94 four door has a broken u-joint and probably needs the axle bearings replaced. I don't have the time or place to do it myself so I'd have to hunt down an axle and have the local truck shop do it. Estimated cost: $800 at least. What good is a truck without 4wd? Elite Registry
My 92 sport was purchased with the intent of fixing the aforementioned truck and then sell the rest for parts. Unfortunately, the green truck blew a freeze out plug and this one became my main truck until I finally got the plug replaced. It's ok offroad but feels ridiculously underpowered compared to the 94 and the right side rocker panel is now a pile of rust sitting in my drive way. The only gauges that work are the spedo (kind of) and gas gauge.) Still, I only paid $500 for it and could easily get $1300. (I've already had offers!)
The end goal would be to have one truck with a 4 inch lift and 33's as that would satisfy my offroading requirements for the time being. My question to you, my fellow Explorerites, is what would you do in my situation? Sell the red one to fund the green ones repairs? Use the red one for offroading despite a weaker engine? Or I could listen to my mom and sell them both and buy a nice Camry. :shifty_ey:
Thanks in advance for input!
