i suspect my oxygen sensor is failing , should i change it or clean it. also is the upstream oxygen sensor the main one to change or clean.

thanx

also do i get one from hi-low , or another auto parts store . or stay with motorcraft

When O2's start going bad, it's better to replace them. Also, go ahead and replace all of them. I've heard that autozone ones are good, as well as motorcraft. Don't know about others. Good luck!

If you go with AutoZone, DO NOT get their Bosch "universal" sensors, get a direct fit sensor. The easiest way to tell them appart is the "universal" sensor will only have wires sticking out of the sensor (no harness plug), the direct ft will have the plug already installed. The reason I don't recomend the "universal" style is that they are almost impossible to install due to the poor instructions provided wilt the sensor, that and the fact that they are designed to fit various applications so their accuracy isn't as good as a application specific sensor.
