I need help figuring out what amp i need to power two of these subs:

Rockford Fosgate Punch P1S415
Subwoofer Size 15"
Subwoofer Design Round / Circle
Main Cone Color Dark Gray
Voice Coil(s) Single (1 voice coil)
Impedance (per voice coil) 4 ohms
Peak Power Handling 400 watts
RMS Power Handling 200 watts

What box should i get: Ported/Vented or Sealed?

Idk if this amp is good for these two subs:

-thanks

OK so really for subwoofers your amp should only be as strong as the RMS, this is the amount of watts the sub can handle at a consistant rate, using more watts can ruin the life of the sub. Since your using 2 of them you can just double the wattage bringing you to a 400 watt amp (that 1250 watt amp is WAY too much)

The type of box you should get really depends on the type of music you like to listen to, I'm sure wikipedia can teach you better than I can about that.

And thirdly, Rockford Fosgate makes high quality product and you may not realize it but your sitting on 300$ worth of sub and you should try to match them with other quality components, maybe something like this... http://cgi.ebay.com/NEW-JENSEN-400-...iewItem&pt=Car_Amplifiers&hash=item45f3943b2a

And also when you are doing the actual wiring you should run a single RCA from head unit to amp, then, on one channel of the amp split the wires from the output
