- 1997 FORD RANGER XLT 4X4
Hi everyone. new guy here. i know there are threads on here about this but i would like to find out more info on how to resolve this.
i have a 97 ford ranger xlt 4x4 4.0 6cyl. i am planing a road trip to florida and of course a few days before im supossed to leave i decide to change the spark plugs and wires. and of course the second to last one snaps apart. it came out clean and no broken ceramic. the threads/sleeve are still in the hole.
i went to autozone and got an extractor set and a thread repair kit. i've sprayed zeperserve (like pb blaster) on it all day today. i read about heating it several times and letting it cool before using extractor. does it sound like im on the right track??? any help or links to prior pages would be greatly appreciated! thanks for any help!!!
