I have a 2000 Ford Explorer 4.0 SOHC. I have a random multiple misfires I have been unable to trace and fix the problem. Car runs like crap has small misfire at idle. Under hard acceleration the car falls over itself. Feels as if the car has half its power. Under normal driving has misfire here and there. Recently replaced plugs and wires have taken them all of and inspected everything looks ok. Replaced the crank sensor recently before the problem started car ran ok afterwords for a bit. Have replaced intake gasket and have inspected for vacuum leaks none found. Changed out the ignition coils with from a buddies truck and made no difference.
Need suggestions on what I should be checking next any help would be appreciated. I can find my way around an engine but definitely not the best mechanic in the world.
