Only way to do it is to remove the radius arm bracket that the bushings are on. If yours already have the bolts holing them on, it's a piece of cake. If they are held on with rivets, you'll have to grind them out, then replace them with bolts. Still not too big of a deal. I think somebody did a write up on it, just do a search on here for it. Good luck with it!

Allegedly you can use a come-a-long to pry the beam forward and pull the bushings off the tapered end...I tried using a pry bar to move the beam forward but was no where near strong enough. I tried that method after grinding and puching out the rivets on the first because it was kind of a PITA. Though I just ended up grinding, drilling and punching that side in the end. You'll be happy when it's all done though. Much easier to maintain! I don't think you have to remove shocks or sway bar if you are grinding but it'll make life easier and they're easy to remove if you do. One bushing had become so angled from age and my weirdo lift, the hole in the bracket became oblonged and the frame was cutting into the metal sleeve around the bushing making a TERRIBLE metal on metal squeak. Rivets have to come out if gou need a new bracket.

I Tarantino'd that I think..my b

jack the truck up and support it from the frame, unbolt the lower sway bay links, unbolt the top coil spring retainer, unbolt the radius arm, then use a ratchet strap from the axle to the bumper, replace the bushings, then move the ratchet strap to the transmission crossmember and pull it back together. i had to use a bry bar to nudge the radius arm from side to side to get lined back up with the bracket hole.
