What kind of condition are your battery cables in? Is there a lot of corrosion at the battery terminals?

I would start tracing the wiring from the alternator to the battery to start with.

The battery cables are in excellent condition the vehicle has been well maintained.

It's very difficult to troubleshoot something like this when all the obvious steps have been taken. Try looking through these search results, you may find something helpful.
