Help w/ my 91 Sport

hi. i want to put welds racing rims on my 91 sport. its automatic 4x4 with auto hubs. i was wondering if it was possible. also, is there a way to drop it? thank you.

hi, welcome to the site. Try the search button, it will REALLY help you out, i know you can lower it, although im more of a lifted guy, im not sure how you lower the front, perhaps just drop coils. In the rear all you need is a 3 inch block.

Welcome abaord, Sounds like you have a few good plans in your head. I too am a lifted X, but like them all. Lowering it shoulodn't be a problem. Check out Black Magic's truck, truck of the week. You should e-mail him if you have any questions about lowered X's.

I'm an offroader so i'm not extremely well versed in lowering. But on a first gen 4x4 explorer you can only drop it like 2"s because of the pumpkin, do a search to make sure. You can use those wheels, you'll just have to have the centers bored out, again a search will give you all the details.

Yes the front suspension of the first gen makes lowering near impossible. Only to get a significant drop would be converting to a 2wd front end
