Help w/ steering

Alright, I have a problem, today my steering (box possibly?) started making noises and a rough feeling in the steering wheel. I know it's not my power steering pump b/c I ( just replaced it and it is full of fluid and not making any noises. Any help would be great. How much do the steering boxes run?

If it is your box, go to a junk yard and get one - cheap. Or check with Jeff Draper. He may still hae a good one from his wreck...

Get it fixed - we have another run in June!

What would the symptoms be if it was the steering box - anyone know or had to replace thiers?

Check the fluid again, also check to see if the belt is slipping or the pump is locked..check the hoses and make sure one is not kinked.. sounds like a pressure problem, not the gear box..also, check the tierod ends, wheel bearings and brakes..It just doesn't sound like a gear box...Usually they wear out and get alot of play in them,,,without any noise...
