you need the 17X9 inch rims. the other ones wont fit. with the 4x4 you may need a spacers in the front but other wise every thing should fit right.

does anyone know anything about wheel spacers? i hear that they have a tendency to come loose, and i cant do a search because the search function is still broken.

thanks

i dont think you will have any problems with them.

1995 cobra R's are seen on WillyChu's truck..

www.willychu.com

Spacers are found at explorerexpress as you probably already know...aswell as a newer version of cobra r's I think.

I think the cobra r's looks awesome...am waiting for the money to put them on mine.

This probably doesn't help...but..atleast I responded :P

bmueller,

actually, what you told me was exactly what i was thinking. ive been consulting willychu on this topic, and hes been very helpful (as well as a number of other guys.) one thing i want to find out about is the spacers from explorer express. most people use the H&R spacers (~$140 a pair!!!), so, id like to find out the deal from explorer express (they have different ones for like $30.00.)

thanks for the reply

mudd*****, that looks awesome, ive seen your truck before when i was looking at other members rides (you changed it now, didnt you lift it and change rims and stuff?) anyway, what size/brand spacers did you use there?

thanks

Yep, I jacked her up. I don't remember the brand of the spacers, but they were about $150 a pair. I originally ordered 4 1-1/2" spacers, but they sent them to me 1-1/4", which were too shallow to fit over the hubs in the front. I ordered two more 1-1/2" spacers from some other company, and ran those in the front and the 1-1/4" spacers in the rear. So basically I have six. I'll give you all six for $100 if you want them. One of them is not in the best shape, but is adequete for a spare, and for extra lugs should you break one on the other sets. Like I said, I paid about $450 for these, but they are just collecting dust in the garage.

Do you need to have the rear spacers to fit them on?

Yes, other wise the rear tires will rub on you suspension and brakeline components. The back spacing on a wheel for a Mustang is a lot different than that of an Explorer, close to 1-1/2." Besides, do you really want your front wheels sticking out 1-1/2" more than your rear tires? It's either that, or swap in a full size axle.

Just let me know if you have any other questions, I'll be glad to answer them.

Sorry, I'm a little late in the response to this topic. I'm usually reading the Mustang fourms.
