I am installing a 2 inch skyjacker lift and I cant seem to find the proper angle to put the coil spring compressors on the springs and still be able to put the spring in the seat and take the compressors off. They are usually in the way of the spring seating properly. Anything I can do to make the suspension hang lower. I have the shock removed and all that is connected is the sway bar. I need quick responses please because I started today and need to have it on the road tomorrow evening. Thanks in advance.

You should disconnect the sway bar also, it will gain you a few inches. I personally could not just pop mine in, other people claim this is possible.
I rented a spring compessor tool from O'Rielly and used it on the outside of the spring, I only needed to compress it a inch or so, so this worked fine. BE CAREFUL if you try this, handle everything with care when the spring is compessed. I think I twisted the spring into the upper mount first, then used the compressor to pop it over the lower stud, and make sure you line up the lower insulator pad before letting off the compression. Good luck, the results are worth the aggravation!

Yeah, definately disconnect the swaybar. I suggest having the tire off, if you don't already. That lets the axle beam drop lower. It should hit the ground.
I've never had to use a spring compressor, and I have 4" coils squeezed into a 2.5" lift. Just let that beam drop as far as you need it to.

Yeah I am def. going to disconnect the sway bar tomorrow and that should make everything a hell of a lot easier. We have been fighting with it since 11 this morning and we decided to call it quits but now that i have the spring compressed already and then disconnect the sway bar we should be able to put it all in pretty smoothly. The sway bar was our missing link.....no pun intented.

Well the lift is on. Disconnecting the sway bar was the answer. Leafs in the rear were really easy. The lift looks great. Going to the shop on Tuesday to get the camber/caster corrected. Thanks guys for all of your help.
