Help with finding mp3 changer for 96 stock sport

I have a '96 Sport ExploDer and the factory 6 disk changer in the arm rest has finally died. Does anyone know of an mp3 changer that will fit and install easily in the same location. I do not want one of the FM changers, I hear they sound like crap. Thanks.

I don't think there are any, most aftermarket changers only work with their own brand of HU. Consider getting an MP3 headunit, that will give you better sound then the stock unit and it is easy to add on a changer.

When I first got my X I had an FM modulated changer and it was good, not as clear as CD should be but it was allright. The FM changers sound quality is the same as a really strong signal from FM radio.

I bought the Sony Xpod HU and 10 disk mp3 player. What a F@#$ing difference. I love it. Stock speakers can take the 52 wts ea.. Good buy. Car Toys.
