I have a 1998 Eddie Bauer 4.0V6 4X4 explorer and i have some problems with it that i need help with. 1. the 4wheel drive does not work at all. i am getting the 4HI and 4LOW lights that blink 6 times every 2 minutes. 2. the engine sounds like a diesel, some people say the rear timing chain is loose, is that really bad? 3. every time i jump on the gas, the truck seems to lag for a sec, like it drops down in gears but the engine just totally drops off for a quick sec or two. 4. the front end is falling apart, it has eaten 3 sets of lower ball joints and 2 sets of tirod ends in less than 3 years, WTF is up? can some of you help me fix my beast plz! im trying to get rid of her for that 03 but plz check that out too
