hey all,

me and another member are trying to figure out how much a stock 97 JBL factory audio system Cd changer is worth.

just post a number you would be willing to pay for this CD changer or that you believe it is worth and I'm going to take an average.

15 bucks. I'm going by salvage yard prices here.

Salvage here is $15-30. eBay $30-$75

Most important question to someone buying- 'What's it worth to ya?'

I sold one to a gentleman in California who clicked BIN on eBay and then paid next day air freight to get it before leaving for a trip...

thx, anyone else? im going to need more numbers for this

Might help to know why... Is this a newfangled super secret FBI type value setting, or simply trying to figure out what to sell the thing for?

That's probably all I'd pay for a nearly 12 yr old outdated piece of electronic...and for $15, I'd have to REALLY want it.

The value of anything is decided when the purchaser and seller agree on a price.

If I were buying, I'd give $10 at most.

If I were selling, I wouldn't take less than $100.

Cd Player

I am looking for one and I would pay $30.00

I paid $25 for a JBL radio head..I would say 25-35 would be fair for the CD unit. Especially if sold AS is. If I were buying locally with a warranty maybe low 40s. Remember even with an online warranty the shipping will not make it worthwile to return.

Of course they're worth what they are to the buyer- if you want a stock unit to plug into your stock radio and use all of your controls, it's worth something. Not everyone has or needs a 'system' in their truck. There isn't anything outdated about the changer, it's the same CD technology in a new CD player.

I paid $75 at the dealer just for the 6CD magazine...but that was before I knew what a pile the changer was...
