can you even fit 22's on a new sport? Don't you think thats a little big for a 2 door? I had the same idea as you until I saw another 2 door SUV with 22's, let's just say it didn't look the best....But to each his own!

What is so idiotic about my request, go look at my pictures at sounddomain, and tell me that my rims dont look small. Everybody always asks me if they are 18's and I know they won't do that to the 22's. Anyways I am getting sponsered for the rims from Arceo.

The only thing idiotic about your request is that you didn't search for your answer before asking your question. A quick search would answer this question quickly. Are you looking to spend the $$$ just because people ask you if your rims are 18"? I am not much of a street guy, but they don't look small to me. They actually look pretty good. Do YOU think they don't look good? There a quite a few street members on this site, with some nice looking Xs, and I believe the consensus from the majority is that anything over 20" on an X just looks silly.

The idea of forking out a couple of grand because ppl ask questions about my wheels just seems a bit odd to me.

stock backspacing is 4.5"

At least im pretty sure thats what it is on the stock explorer sport wheel.

If you have yer stock wheels laying around- u can measure backspacing like this-
Lay one wheel face down. Take a ruler or anything with a straight edge and shorter than you rim diameter, and place it so it sits on the rim edge to edge. Then take another ruler or a tape measure, and vertically measure from the lug nut holes to the bottom of the ruler. This amount is your backspacing

Also i dont think 22's are too big- looks kinda nice actually

But for all practical purposes- they are just too large- running a 35 tall tire is just brutal on ride comfort.. and the wieght of them will make the car a pig in acceleration. thats why im not goin 22's-
But its your ride and if image is everything - go for it cuz it should look nice
