Ok, so i know this has been brought up about a million times but im very confused, I tried the math of the speedo gear. I have 33/12.5/15 tires and i need to redo the gear in the VSS. I have the 3.73 gears and the original tires were P235/75R15 with the Tan 19 tooth gear thats in there now, will some please help me find the correct gear to correct the speedometer. Thank you in advance

Chris

I'm using a Green 17T gear. It's very close.

Make sure you get the "manual" one also. The "auto" is for 2wd autos only.

Well back when I was doing mine, I looked on a chart from The Ranger Station. Off the chart in the link you posted, the Green is on the Automatic side as well. So I guess that is a correct chart.

I think the 17T is the closest you can get to actual with 3.73s and 33s.

does that single gear control everything in the dash? ala the odometer and trip switch? or jsut the speedometer?

also, I read going to larger tires will really mess with the auto tranny, and the A4LD can only take so much.

I'm just curious b/c I'm going up to 31"s soon.

no as long as ur differential gears offsets the larger tire diameters...
