I am having trouble finding the right lights for the cluster. I have a modified gauge face. I removed the black face, and replaced it with an EL glow face. I like the way it looks, but I don't like the fact that I can see the "dark" places were the warning/indicator lights are behind it. I am thinking about placing a thin film of backlight paper (the stuff LCD makers use to diffuse the glow of the back light) between the light and the EL glow face. That would make it appear white until the light turns on. Here's my problem: in order to do that, I will have to replace the white light bulbs with colored light bulbs. I need to know what bulb size goes into the indicator socket, and what is the bulb size for the regular needle backlights? I am also considering using LED bulbs. If I replace the incandescent bulbs with LED's, will I still be able to "dim" the bulbs with factory dimmer?
