help!!won't start

my 1995 explorer won"t start it turns over..and if I spray gas into the intake it will start and just burn that that I sprayed in ..I checked the cutoff switch and its ok..don't know what else to check..I'm thinking it would be the fuel pump but it doesn't have one right? I'm stuck here till I get it fixed....help please

Yes, it has a fuel pump. It's located in the gas tank. If you turn the key from off to on without trying to start the vehicle, you should hear a whine from the pump for several seconds and then it will shut off. If you don't hear the pump, it's not working and it's probably time to drop the tank and take a look at the pump.

There are multiple threads on this site about how to check/replace the fuel pump. A quick search on "fuel pump" or "fuel pump replacement" should bring them up.
