dennisgutzmer@tds.nethello. im 61 years old, dont know much about computers, forums and apperantly 4wd ford ranger vacuum lines. iv a 2000 ranger 3 liter and have been replaceing parts from my 1998 xlt ranger but still cant seem to get it to switch into 4wd. i hear a series of 3 or 4 clicks comeing from just right of the radio. iv switched that black box that looks like a cassette to name just one thing iv tryed. are you supposed to have vaccum at the front wheel lines only when switching to 4wd or all the time? i would extremly appretiate any help i can get....THANKS MUCH FOLKS, OH and can someone explain to me what a tag is?,and a thread
if it helps you out, you can defeat the vacuum pulse hubs. it maybe takes 5-10 mins per side. i have done it to 2 different rangers, and it works well. the only difference is your steering wheel will feel a little "heavy" after its done.
cant explain what a tag its for forums, but a thread is something here that you have started with by asking your question. as in, you have now started this thread, and it is titled "help"
