explorer sport 92
I have some problem with my explorer sport 1992. When I use the 4wd system I heard noises in my front axle.
Yesterday I went out to a off road day and this problem starts again. A hard vibrations starts too at the same time (when I used the 4wd)
What can be the reason? Is there something bad?
Sorry but I NEED SOME HELP, the dealer here in Paraguay (TAPE RUVICHA) dont understand NOTHING about EXPLORERS 92. PARDON FOR MY BAD ENGLISH

Three possibilites. It could be your gears, your driveshaft or your auto hubs. My first choice would be your hubs if they're automatic. They're a big problem on older x's. Is it a repeating clicking? Most definitely the hubs. You're going to need to run some tests to reduce the possible culprits.

Sorry Zensius, but... tests? For example, what test can you sugest me?
I heard a constant sound... a BRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR all the time when my vehicle is in 4wd.
And I cant explain the vibration... is the same BRRRRRRRRRRRR.

NO IDEAS?

I would say hubs mine sound the same way and mine also like to make loud clunks. The auto hubs are a weak point in the first generation explorers:(
