Guys, when I return to the states from my tour here in the UK, I plan on diving head first into my explorer. so, here's the plan (what am I missing?):

Front:
Ranger Edge 3" lift spindles
1" torsion twist

Rear
Spring over axle conversion (4.5" lift correct?)

3" body lift

That should give me a ~7" lift. The plan is to put 18" wheels, but I'm not sure what size tires. Are 37"s too big or should I go with 35's? what is the equivalent tire size for an 18" wheel?

do i need to do anything with the tranny?

Yes it is a two wheel drive and it will likely not ever see the off road. I'm planning to be more for show.
Thanks in advance!

wel since this is for show, then 37"s and just dont try to flex.

erp, dunno if thers such a thing as an "equivalent" tire size for an 18" wheel

Neh.. but u need a regear on the rear axle, the appropriate ratio would probably be 4.88s

a SOA conversion gives more like 6.5 inches from what i have heard.

if that's true, how should I level out the front to the 6.5" lift?

also, would the 37's rub while turning?
