Hey Guys, I'm the proud owner of a 2000 AWD Explorer 5.0L Limited Edition. I don't know a whole lot about cars but plan on learning along the way and getting some mods done to my Explorer (this site just keeps me reading and reading about this truck lol). The only thing I've done so far is clamp one of those AMSOIL cone filters onto my MAF to replace the stock airbox. Looking forward to a new exhaust, tune, and maybe even some TMHs. Glad to be here!

Welcome to this forum! Do those filters require special oil?

Nope, no oil required. I've read more bad than good about K&N filters, especially in regard to dirtying the MAF sensor. I decided to play it safe even if those ones have slightly more airflow.
