'97 XLT GOLD
hey yall this things a '97 XLT 2WD but i'm usin it for trailridin and light muddin and backwoods travel but also as my main transportation vehicle, i figured i would come to yall for some ideas on what i could do to it to fix it up or dress it up the exterior and interior to make it look rougher and better like a backwoods vehicle if you know what i mean, so give me anything yall got, exterior, interior, audio, lighting, etc... thanx

sorry there night pics but you can still see it pretty good... when i said looks i meant like i dont want any part of a street look on it ha i want it rough rider ranger backcountry type a truck but still drivable everday

Looks and offroad usually don't go together unless you like twisted metal like me :D

I'd deffinitly lift it though, put some decent radial mud tires on it and go. You could also trim the **** outa the fenders, cover the ugly with some nice flares and stuff the tires that way.

Mines not really street, Mines a rough rider(you feel every bump in the road) and if i took it offroad it would prolly be pretty capable. Its been in the mud a few times, but i just cant afford to do that stuff anymore, i just drive the truck everyday now.

What size tires are you wanting to fit? Since you are 2wd, you can get 3" spindles for the front, and 2" (3" if you want) Torsion Twist, and do a SOA in the back and have bout 5-6"s of lift, Fit 33"s maybe 35"s with a little trimming. You can also run a body lift for a 1997 ranger for another 2 - 3"s of lift.
