Glad to be here. Would like any information on the V-6 in a 2006 Explorer 4X4.
It is marked 4.2L. Does anyone know if there is a controller for this engine?
It has power but is weak getting up to highway speed unless you give it alot of throttle.

Welcome to this forum! Are you looking for information for a 4.0L SOHC engine? They don't have a 4.2L engine.

Yeah I did not think they had a 4.2 but thats what is on the engine cover.
I did read that it might be the MAS needs cleaning.
