96 Eddie Bauer
I have exhausted the search archives for all kinds of subjects and found a few critical answers. I have a 96 Eddie Bauer and the high beams popped and went off the other night. I checked the obvious and the fuse #33 15A was blown. I replaced it and all seemed fine. I flashed the lights, no problem. If I switch to high beam continuously it blows in about 5 seconds. Any hints? Is it the dreaded LOWM? Any one experienced this before?

What is a LOWM? Check for the correct wattage bulbs, then look for a short to ground.

It could also be the multifunction switch (wiper stalk).

I think he means the lamp outage module, the LOM. I just looked at the prints and I don't think it could be the LOM. On the prints for the 95's, fuse #33 is a 20A. Check your manual and make sure 15A is correct on your model.

Hey Alec, I don't think it could be the multifunction switch because it is upstream from the fuse. If there was a problem there it would cause fuse L in the Power Distribution box to blow.

Thanks guys. I will check the fuse rating. Maybe that's the issue. 15A does sound a little weak for headlights. The bulbs are the correct ones. They worked fine until I hit a bump, then pow, gone. I hate intermittent stuff too!
