so hows it going i have a 2000 ford explorer xlt, fog lights already built in the bumper, the wires that went the the fog lights where corroded and had water in the lines, who knows how old this could be i bought the truck 2 months ago and finally playing with the wiring but from what i know they never worked even before... so i disconnected the lines from the bulb/socket and the first set of wires behind the bumper that connect onto a clip.... well i already installed HID into my headlights but only work on ( highbeam ) mode, and in an explorer when you install the HID KIT inside the headlights "they will only come on" with the highbeams activated or the high beam stick on the column pushed back... the low beams are gone nothing lights in that mode! so back to the topic, i want to install new h1 bulbs 4300k in color bright yellows as the HID kit, but i cant work with the old wires like the plug in play in my headlights, how can i wire a HID set to a fuse then to the battery, does anyone have any facts about which wires to splice and how to wire, do i need a relay in the middle of the circuit to a switch ill wire in the dash or splice into the fog circuit with the (4) wires on the dash there already? Is there a way to use a new HID KIT and tap right into the highbeam circuit so they turn on at the same time? anyone have any suggestions without using the fog light relays or using fog lights and relays, and without using any of the factory fog light wiring thats there, cuz its all bad and ruined by weather conditions.... thank you very much and happy vet day :salute:
