I tried searching but did not come up with a real answer so....
on my 03 EB the high beams will not shut off. Ignition off, key in my hand, me standing in the house, the high beams are still on. Tried pulling fuses for the DRL system to no avail. I finally pulled the fuse for the high beams and that is the only way they stay off. Great at night because all 4 bulbs fire up, until I meet on coming traffic.
Any solutions on this one or should i just go to my local "stealer"?
thanks

mine did the same only after i noticed that they wouldnt shut off after having them on for a prolonged amount of time while driving. the icon on the dash went out but high beams stayed on. tapped the relay under the hood and they went out,so maybe the relay is sticking?

I had a Buick Regal when I was 16 that did this. I had to replace the turn signal lever to fix the problem.

It is either the High Beam Relay in the Battery Junctions Box (stuck in the "on" position) or the Multifunction Switch internally stuck in the "flash to pass" position.

One way to determine is to pull the relay in the Battery Junction Box (owners manual should show the position). Put the fuse back in, and with a voltmeter or test lamp check the coil socket for the relay. The relay has 2 coil connections and 3 contact connections. Relay body typically depicts the arrangement. If there is 12 V going to the coil, then it is the multifunction switch. If no voltage to the coil connections, then the relay must be stuck internally on. Replace for around $12.

There is a sticky for replacing the Multifunction Switch if it proves bad.
