I purchased the high flow MAF from explorer express for $240.00 and it's great. Although it can be a bit of a PITA getting the stock air tube to fit on the larger MAF properly, it will fit.

A larger MAS is a good mod on a 91-94. However, you should first have at least a high flow air filter and catback exhaust. Also a BBK TB is a good idea to have too. After those, a MAS will really help. Then add a chip and you'll be very happy.

Probably one of the best mods I have ever made! Alec's right, put on a KKM, and a BBK TB and man you're good to go!:D I don't know about the cat-bat...future mod maybe ;)
Definitely get the cold-air model, it is a little more expensive but it is well worth the extra dough!

I also agree with Alec. The high performance mass air sensor is a "stage 2" upgrade. You will realize the benifit from this unit after you already have the intake, exhaust & throttle body installed. We do have the 75mm Pro-M Mass Air Sensor $244.95. It is available in chrome or black. They are custom calibrated for your specific mods by Pro-M (Pro-Flow).

By the way, we now carry the mac intake for the V6 OHV 96-01 (#3640 $144.95). Sorry..nothing for the 91-95.

Hmmm..very interested in this. I was wondering how much I would benefit from one of these. I would have to get my chip re-burned probably though. Any discounts John ;)?

But how can it be custom calibrated to a chip, if you don't really know how the chip is calibrated?

Basically the MAS is just calibrated for injectors and intake size as I understand. It should work fine with your "old" chip.

Again I agree with Alec. It would not be required to re-burn your computer chip. It would only net a slight gain, it would probably not be noticable. If you have not purchases the chip or MAF yet, it would make sense to purchase a chip that was burned for the upgraded sensor.

I know that we are very competitive with the price of this Pro-M unit, but I will still offer a $20 discount for anyone that orders one before the end of April!

By the way, this is what it looks like with a Mac Intake.

is there a mas for a 99' sohc?

is there a mas for a 99' sohc or just the ohv?

Where is the best place to buy a KKM intake online and for the best price???

Yes, there is a Pro-M and a Mac Intake for the 1999 V6 SOHC. Before we order it, we need to know if the elt. connector has 4 pins or 6.

I do not have a source for the KKM intake right now.

Can someone tell me why the MAC kit would not work on a 95? John? Just wondering. I thought I would do one mod to "purdy" up the engine compartment.:D

I know that the Mass Air Sensor on a 1995 is inside the air box (one year only). So you have to take it out of the box and deal with mounting it. The pipe is different than any other year. We may be able to do some kind of custom piece? Take a picture of your stock inlet pipe and send it to me at info@explorerexpress.com

Well..I get free re-burns on my chip at least. ;) I will let you know on this real soon.

i'm very interested in this pro-m mass air sensor and BBK TB. where can I get the BBK TB for the best price? does EE sell them? also, will the Pro-m and BBK TB work together with my MAC intake on my 99 5.0? also John v., by putting on the pro-m mass air sensor do you think it would fix my valve chatter/pinging/knocking under acceleration with 87 octane as it goes away with higher octane?? i'm thinking it's the mass airflow sensor since i have the mac intake that lets more air in and probably a little more dirt and that is what's causing the mass to be dirty. this is why i don't want to buy the apten chip yet. i want to make sure it's the last thing i buy after all my mods. thanks for the help.

Jonh V.

Wanting to know if you offer a "package deal" for a MAS and TB if sold together.

EDIT: as of now I have the ifab CAI and a cat back...I'm guessing these two along with a chip would give me substantial gains over stock.....am I dreaming?????
